In the fourth and final Test match of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, Australia scored 480 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in the first innings.

On behalf of Australia, Usman Khawaja played an inning of 180 and Cameron Green played 114 runs.

Usman Khawaja scored 180 runs off 422 balls with the help of 21 fours after which his team managed to post a big score.

The 36-year-old Australian batsman of Pakistani origin has also won two interesting honors in his innings.

Usman Khawaja became the first batsman to play 400 balls in an inning against India.

Apart from this, he batted for 10 hours in the Ahmedabad Test, after which he became the second-longest-batting player on the pitch against India.

The record for longest batting against India is held by former Pakistan batsman Younis Khan, who scored 267 runs against the host team in a Test match played in Bangalore in 2005 after batting for 11 hours and 30 minutes.

The left-handed batsman scored a century on the first day of the fourth Test match, on which he told the media 'I don't think I've ever smiled so much at a century, I never thought that It will be.'

While Border Gavaskar Trophy turned out to be a nightmare for the batsmen, Usman Khawaja has become the highest run-scorer in the series.

He has so far scored 333 runs at an average of 47 in seven innings of four Test matches.

Twitter users are also praising Usman Khawaja for this wonderful inning.

Journalist Tim Wigmore said on Usman Khawaja's excellent performance in Asia that 'Usman Khawaja's development in Asia has been outstanding. Just six years ago he was said to be unplayable in Asia, averaging 15 in the first five Tests. He has now averaged 75 in 11 Tests and now looks like the best spin player in the world.
