Pakistan's Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the 'Jail Bharu Movement' has now become the 'Drown Movement' for Imran Khan.
The interior minister said while holding a press conference in Faisalabad on Sunday, "They themselves say that we have to go to jail."
He said that we are taking you on a tour of the prisons so that you know the conditions of the prisons. First, they will fill the remote jails and then send them to nearby jails. Right now there is enough capacity in Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Leh, and Rajanpur jails.
In response to a question, he has said that we have not told to any judge that this audio belongs to him. We say the audio of Pervez Elahi should be investigated.
Arrests have been made in Lahore and Rawalpindi in connection with Tehreek-e-Insaf's Jail Bharu movement, but in Peshawar, the matter was limited to protests only.
On the first day, Wednesday, more than 70 activists including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Azam Swati were arrested from Lahore and transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Later, Tehreek-e-Insaf claimed that their leaders were being transferred to foreign jails instead of Lahore, and on the other hand, court proceedings were also taken for the bail of the arrested leaders.
On Thursday in Peshawar, the provincial leadership and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protested outside the Central Jail Peshawar for three hours but did not make any arrests.
The following Friday, PTI leaders and workers were arrested after a protest at Rawalpindi's Committee Chowk on Friday.
The Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders arrested from Rawalpindi include Zulfi Bukhari, Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, Major Latasab Sati, Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan, Wasiq Qayyum, and Ejaz Khan Ejazi who have been transferred to Adiala Jail.
