Bandits have shot and killed a young man while walking with his family in Sector G-13 of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
According to the FIR registered in Islamabad's Golra police station, this incident took place between Monday and Tuesday night.
According to the text of the FIR, the father of the murdered youth said that "my 21-year-old son Hasnain Abbas left the house for a walk at 9:30 pm with my daughter and two nephews."
As soon as they reached street number 136, two motorcyclists came, one of them pulled out a pistol and snatched Usman's mobile phone.
In the application given to the police, the father of the slain youth further said that 'my son, who was with Usman, tried to snatch the pistol from this boy, then he fired directly at Hasnain.'
As a result of the firing, the bullets hit Hasnain on the delicate parts below his stomach, after which Hasnain was shifted to Pims Hospital in an injured state, where he succumbed to his injuries.
When contacted by Urdu News, Zahid Hussain, the father of the deceased youth, spoke briefly and said, "We are very shocked." SP Sahib has come to us today. We hope that they will definitely arrest the culprits.
Are there any CCTV cameras installed near your home whose footage can help track down criminals? In response to this question, he said that there are CCTV cameras but nothing has been done in this regard yet. I will talk to someone about it.
The area where the robbery and murder took place falls under the Golra police station in Islamabad.
When contacted by Urdu News, Golra police station chief Aftab said that this is a completely new incident. A preliminary investigation is going on.
Referring to the CCTV footage, he said that 'nowadays there are cameras everywhere. Will check them too. We are trying, we should hope for the best.
In response to a question about the increase in street crimes in Islamabad, he said that yes, there has been an increase in crimes, but we are also working more than usual to deal with them.
It should be noted that in the same sector G13 of Islamabad, six residents who were walking on the night of March 7 and 8 were robbed by robbers of their mobile phones.
When asked about the arrest of the people involved in last week's incident, Sub-Inspector Sohail Akram posted at Sanjani police station said that 'We are continuing to search for the people involved in this incident.'
He said that there are no CCTV cameras near the park where this incident took place, but the culprits will be caught soon.
Sohail Akram further said that the people arrested earlier in such incidents belonged to the suburbs outside Islamabad.
