Decision to send police from Quetta to Lahore to arrest Imran Khan

 


The local court of Quetta has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the case of speeches against state institutions.

Balochistan government has decided to send a police team from Quetta to Lahore to arrest the former prime minister.

Judge Bashir Ahmad Bazai of Judicial Magistrate Quetta One issued orders for the arrest of Imran Khan after the hearing of the case registered in Quetta.

According to the sources of Balochistan Home Department, the provincial government has decided to send a team headed by SP Investigation from Quetta to Lahore to arrest Imran Khan.

The Home Department of Balochistan has sent a letter to the Home Department of Punjab in this regard, requesting the cooperation of the Quetta Police team.

It should be noted that Abdul Khalil Kakar, a resident of Quetta, had registered a case against the PTI leader in Quetta Police Station Bijli Road on March 5.

The case was registered under Section 20 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, Sections 153A, 505 and 124A of the Pakistan Penal Code. These provisions deal with crimes against the state and treason.

According to the text of the case, 'Imran Khan came to the media and made baseless accusations against the state institutions and spread hatred by making unjustified provocative speeches against the officers of the state institutions.'

The text further states that 'provocative speech poses serious threats to the peace and order of the country. This speech is tantamount to disturbing public peace.
